우리는 학살하기 위해 공부한 적 없다
학살이 흑자를 냈다. 그 돈이 여기 왔다.
이번 학기에도 캠퍼스에 부스가 들어섰다. 브로슈어와 함께 약속된 미래가 진열된다. 높은 연봉과 안정된 커리어라는 목표 앞에 우리는 줄을 서도록 교육받았다. 그 부스 뒤에는 무엇이 있는지 묻지 않도록.
부스 뒤에는 폐허가 된 가자 지구가 있다. 20만 톤의 폭탄이 떨어진 땅에는 집도, 학교도, 병원도 남지 않았다. 78년 간의 점령, 18년 간의 봉쇄, 그리고 결국 2023년 10월 이후 전면화된 파괴로, 이스라엘은 팔레스타인의 존재 자체를 차근차근 지워가고 있다. 2025년 10월 10일에 휴전 협정이 발효된 이후에도 집단학살은 멈추지 않았다. 이윤도 멈추지 않았다. 매일, 지금도.
그 이윤의 공급망 안에 한국 기업들이 있다. 건설 장비를 수출해 팔레스타인의 집을 허물고, 폭격을 유도하는 체계를 공동 개발하고, 군용 로봇을 납품하고, 전차의 살상력을 높이는 방호 기술을 장착한다. 이 기업들의 로고가 지금 이 캠퍼스 안에 걸려있다. 대학은 우리에게 너의 노동이 죽음을 밟아도 괜찮겠느냐고 묻지 않았다. 아니, 묻지 않은 것이 아니다. 물을 필요가 없다고 판단한 것이다. 우리는 그 판단을 거부한다.
이것은 추상적인 공모가 아니다. 이름이 있고, 계약이 있고, 납품 이력이 있다.
HD현대는 이스라엘에 꾸준히 건설장비를 수출해 왔다. 그 장비는 불법 정착촌을 세우고, 팔레스타인의 집을 허물고, 가자에서 군사작전의 지면을 닦는 데 쓰였다. 한화시스템은 이스라엘 방산기업 엘타 시스템즈 및 엘빗 시스템즈와 무기 개발 협력을 진행해 왔다. 한화에어로스페이스는 2024년 엘빗 시스템즈와 군용 헬기 개량 관련 MOU를 체결했다. LIG넥스원이 인수한 Ghost Robotics의 군용 로봇은 이스라엘군에 납품되어 군사작전에 투입되었다. 한국항공우주산업(KAI)은 이스라엘 항공우주산업(IAI)과 기술 협력을 유지하고 있으며, 현대로템은 이스라엘 방산기업 라파엘의 탱크 방호 체계를 도입해 자사 전차에 장착하고 이를 수출하고 있다. 이러한 협력들은 이스라엘의 팔레스타인 파괴를 효율화하고 폭력을 극대화하는 데 기여한다. 밀어붙이고, 감시하고, 타격하고, 순찰하고, 방호한다. 집단학살이 하나의 산업 생태계로 작동하고 있다.
대학은 이 기업들에 공간을 내주었다. 윤리적 검토도, 질문도, 망설임도 없다. 취업률이라는 숫자가 면죄부가 되기 때문이다. 대학은 우리를 시민으로 기르겠다고 말하며 공급망의 마지막 부품을 조달한다. 우수한 성적, 능숙한 기술, 그리고 묻지 않는 습관을 갖춘 노동력이 바로 그것이다.
우리는 학살하기 위해 공부한 적 없다. 우리의 기술은 누군가의 집을 허물고 생명을 소거하기 위해 길러진 것이 아니다. 그러나 대학이 해당 기업들을 초청하고 중개하는 한, 대학은 우리에게 침묵할 것을 요구하고 있는 것이며, 양심을 유보하고 집단학살과 식민 지배의 마지막 부품이 될 것을 종용하고 있는 것이다. 우리는 그 자리를 거부한다.
따라서 우리는 다음과 같이 요구한다.
대학 본부와 양대 총학생회에 요구한다. 집단학살에 연루된 기업에 캠퍼스를 개방하는 결정을 철회하라. 대학은 단순히 취업 중개 기관이 아니라 사회적 책임을 지는 공적 공간이다. 집단학살에 연루된 기업에 캠퍼스를 개방하는 것은 그 책임을 방기하는 일이다. 학생들의 문제 제기를 의례적 수용이 아닌 실질적 응답으로 받아들여라.
취업박람회 및 센랩에 요구한다. 집단학살 공모 기업에 대한 홍보를 즉각 중단하라. 학생들의 진로와 미래를 지원한다는 명목으로 인권 침해와 연결된 기업을 아무런 기준 없이 소개하는 것은 결코 정당화될 수 없다. 커리어 플랫폼은 단순한 정보 전달 창구가 아니라, 학생들의 선택과 노동의 방향에 영향을 미치는 사회적 주체이다. 인권과 평화를 존중하는 기업을 우선적으로 소개하고, 노동시장을 만들어 나가는 주체로서 그에 상응하는 책임을 이행하라.
마지막으로 집단학살에 공모하는 기업들에 요구한다. 이스라엘과의 군사·기술 협력을 포함하여 팔레스타인 집단학살에 가담하는 모든 행위를 즉각 중단하라. 기업의 이윤이 인간의 생명과 존엄 위에 있을 수 없다. 지금이라도 폭력과 억압에 기여하는 사업을 철회하고, 국제 인권 기준을 준수하는 책임 있는 기업으로 거듭나라.
우리는 학살의 공급망에 편입되기를 거부한다. 우리의 노동이 누군가의 죽음을 떠받치는 구조 속의 부품이 되도록 하지 않겠다.
우리는 계속해서 팔레스타인과 연대하며 행동할 것이다.

We Never Studied to Be Complicit in Genocide
Genocide turned a profit. That money came here.
This semester too, booths have appeared on campus. Alongside brochures, a promised future is on display. We were educated to line up before the goal of high salaries and stable careers — and not to ask what lies behind those booths.
Behind the booths lies the ruins of Gaza. On land where 200,000 tons of bombs have fallen, no homes, no schools, no hospitals remain. Through 78 years of occupation, 18 years of blockade, and the full-scale destruction that began after October 2023, Israel has been methodically erasing the very existence of Palestine. Even after a ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, the Genocide did not stop. Neither did the profit. Every day. Even now.
Within that profit supply chain are Korean corporations. They export construction equipment to demolish Palestinian homes, co-develop targeting systems that guide airstrikes, supply military robots, and equip tanks with protective technology that increases their lethality. The logos of these companies hang on this campus right now. The university never asked us: are you willing to have your labor tread upon death? No — it wasn't that they didn't ask. They decided there was no need to ask. We reject that decision.
This is not abstract complicity. There are names, contracts, and delivery records.
HD Hyundai has consistently exported construction equipment to Israel. That equipment has been used to build illegal settlements, demolish Palestinian homes, and clear the ground for military operations in Gaza. Hanwha Systems has pursued weapons development cooperation with Israeli defense companies Elta Systems and Elbit Systems. Hanwha Aerospace signed an MOU with Elbit Systems in 2024 regarding military helicopter upgrades. Ghost Robotics — acquired by LIG Nex1 — has supplied military robots to the Israeli military for use in combat operations. Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) maintains technical cooperation with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), and Hyundai Rotem has adopted tank protection systems from Israeli defense company Rafael, installing them on its own tanks and exporting them. These partnerships contribute to the efficiency of Israel's destruction of Palestine and the maximization of violence. Bulldoze, surveil, strike, patrol, protect. Genocide operates as an industrial ecosystem.
The university has opened its doors to these companies — with no ethical review, no questions, no hesitation. Employment statistics serve as absolution. The university claims to raise us as citizens, while procuring the final components of a supply chain: a workforce with excellent grades, refined skills, and the habit of not asking questions.
We never studied to be complicit in Genocide. Our skills were not cultivated to demolish someone's home or erase someone's life. Yet as long as the university invites and brokers these companies, it is demanding our silence — urging us to suspend our conscience and become the final component of Genocide and colonial rule. We refuse that role.
Therefore, we demand the following.
We demand of the university administration and both student government bodies: Reverse the decision to open campus to companies complicit in genocide. A university is not merely an employment agency — it is a public space that bears social responsibility. Opening the campus to companies complicit in genocide is an abdication of that responsibility. Receive students' challenges not as a ceremonial gesture, but as a call for substantive response.
We demand of the career fair and CenLab: Immediately cease promotion of companies complicit in genocide. Introducing companies connected to human rights violations without any standard — under the pretense of supporting students' careers and futures — can never be justified. Career platforms are not mere information conduits; they are social actors that shape the direction of students' choices and labor. Prioritize companies that respect human rights and peace, and fulfill the corresponding responsibility as an actor in shaping the labor market.
Finally, we demand of the companies complicit in genocide: Immediately halt all acts of participation in the genocide of Palestinians, including military and technological cooperation with Israel. Corporate profit cannot stand above human life and dignity. Even now, withdraw from businesses that contribute to violence and oppression, and remake yourselves as responsible companies that comply with international human rights standards.
We refuse to be absorbed into the supply chain of Genocide. We will not allow our labor to become a component in a structure that props up someone else's death.
We will continue to act in solidarity with Palestine.
